What is sourcing automation

Sourcing automation is finding and validating what will sell, then moving it to sale, handled by data and written criteria instead of repeated manual work.

Where manual sourcing stalls.

The problem is not a missing tool but information scattered across tools.

Finding takes all the time

Checking what will sell means looking through demand and competition channel by channel. How many products can be reviewed is bound by how many hours a person has.

The bar moves with the person

Two people looking at the same product reach different calls. When the criteria are not written down, a result cannot be traced back and improved.

The same data is retyped

Product details, orders and purchase orders are copied from one screen to another every day, and errors enter during the copying.

Changes are noticed late

Cost, shipping terms and stock keep moving. When a person checks periodically, the gap between the change and noticing it is the damage.

The order it runs in.

Observe, decide, execute, then read the official state back before any of it reaches the criteria. Recording a received response as a success grows the error surface as fast as the automated one. Which layer owns each of the five stages is in the agent runtime.

What deepeet has automated.

  • An in-house recommendation system built on market data
  • A ranked recommendation carrying its reasons and the evidence not yet confirmed
  • Viability review and eligible-supply checks on what was recommended
  • Planning and detail page generation through to channel listing
  • Confirming official sale status and price policy after listing
  • Order collection across channels, connected to procurement
  • Route selection weighing price, shipping cost and eligibility together
  • Alternate routing for clear exceptions such as stockouts
  • Sale price management against a target margin
  • Channel settlement data collected as issued and reconciled per order
  • Refunds and claims tracked apart from sales totals
  • Customer messages sent, received and tied to their order

On sourcing automation

What is sourcing automation?

Sourcing automation is finding and validating what will sell and moving it to sale, handled by data and written criteria instead of repeated manual work. What to buy, on what terms, and where to sell it is decided from observed data and criteria set in advance rather than from instinct.

How is this different from a sourcing tool?

A tool that gathers product listings shortens the finding step only. Sourcing automation carries the decision through to orders and purchase orders, reads the result back from the official state at the channel and the supplier, and folds that outcome into the criteria. What is missing is the stretch a person has to bridge by hand.

What is a recommendation based on?

An in-house recommendation system built on market data produces a ranked view of what is worth selling. The ranking never travels alone: the reasons behind it and the evidence not yet confirmed are kept with it.

Who decides, and who executes?

An always-on agent runtime decides. Writing to a channel or a supplier is done by the commerce system, which holds the permissions and limits. Because the two layers are separate, the automated surface can grow without loosening control over external writes.

How far does it run without a person?

Observation, decision and defined execution continue unattended. Changing the criteria themselves, and exceptions that have not been reduced to rules, stay with a person. The goal is not removing people but leaving them only the calls that need judgement.

Is listing automated too?

Yes. Margin is judged first, and only what clears the bar becomes a detail page and goes up against each channel's format. After publishing, the official sale status and price policy are read back. A product carries its own state from candidate through publication and selling, and the check run just before it goes up is the same one a person would apply.

What is deepeet?

deepeet is a company building an AI sourcing automation system that connects commerce operations — sourcing, listing, orders, procurement, delivery and settlement — into one flow. Enquiries go to contact@deepeet.com.

Which sales channels are connected?

Coupang, Toss Shopping, Naver, Daangn, Temu are connected, and the range keeps widening. Each channel has its own listing and order format, so they are added in the order those formats are confirmed rather than all at once.
